When I first asked around at networking events about business banking, I was pointed towards the HSBC, but was thoroughly disappointed to discover that they have a general policy not to accept new business customers whose primary activity is in hardware sales. As I was categorised thus, I had to look elsewhere.

I found the Edinburgh Entrepreneurs group on LinkedIn a good place to ask for banking recommendations. There I got the excellent tip that members of the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) can open and operate a FREE business account with the Co-operative Bank.

So that's the path I choose and I'm a satisfied customer so far.
