As I was categorised thus, I had to look elsewhere. I found the Edinburgh Entrepreneurs group on LinkedIn a good place to ask for banking recommendations. There I got the excellent tip that members of the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) can open and operate a FREE business account with the Co-operative Bank. So that's the path I choose and I'm a satisfied customer so far.
